L’altro giorno ero seduto in treno sulla via del ritorno a casa. Sorvolando sul ritardo di Trenitalia per cui ho dovuto correre la maratona di New York per prendere la coincidenza, sono alla fine riuscito a prendere il passante e sedermi comodamente lato finestrino.
All’altezza di Melegnano salgono 4 persone, un adulto e 3 bambini di 7-8 anni o giù di lì. Li vedo molto agitati, i bambini intendo. Parlottano, si girano di continuo e sembrano preoccupati. Entro quindi in modalità pettegola e spengo a loro insaputa l’iPod per poter meglio capire la causa del loro comportamento.
“Cavolo, spero non passi… guarda di là, io guardo di qua…”
Mi è subito chiaro che questi sono saliti senza biglietto. Non per errore, non perchè hanno preso il treno all’ultimo e non hanno avuto il tempo di comprarlo, ma volutamente. Dei bambini delle elementari, sotto la supervisione di un adulto sono saliti sul treno senza biglietto.
Non voglio fare il moralista, è capitato anche a me (per causa forze maggiori – obliteratrice non funzionante) di non pagare il biglietto, ma quello che mi da fastidio è che quell’adulto, quella madre, ha permesso tutto ciò. Invece di insegnare ai figli che è giusto e doveroso comprare il biglietto, ha passato il messaggio che “sì, basta che non ti becchi il controllore…”. Quest’idea tutta italiana di fare i furbi, di fregare il sistema, qualcuno me la deve spiegare.
Sarò esagerato, ma non posso non pensare a cosa faranno questi bambini diventati più grandi. Si limiteranno a pensare a questo episodio come un errore da non rifare, oppure continueranno a comportarsi in questo modo, a fare gli sgamati e dire “ma sì, comprare il biglietto è da sfigati…”?
Io pago l’abbonamento ogni mese: è caro, il servizio fa cagare, ma è giusto che lo faccia. Ecco, forse a questi bambini non sarà molto chiaro nella loro vita cos’è giusto e cosa sbagliato. E la colpa è solo nostra che glielo insegniamo.
